The Evergreens Campground

Evergreens is acamping place. They have a place right there at the camp ground were you can get breakfast you can order food or get the buffet. There is a lake right there in the camp.

Not rating “rooms” though they’ve got cabins. Great people, I’ve met folks I’ve known directly and indirectly from all corners of Maine. If you’re looking for a family campground or to hang out with your friends it passes muster. Great owners interested in your camping experience. I passed on this place 20 yrs ago, it was dark and dreary.These new owners have made this a markee landing for campers now and likely to continue into the future.

We recently stayed at Evergreens Campground with our entire wedding party and some family as we had our wedding about 15 minutes down the road. I am so beyond glad that we chose this place, based on how nice the owners are alone! Jodi is one of the kindest and most accommodating person you can have in the lodging business. My wife and I stopped by un-announced to check out the campground about a week before our reservation because we wanted to plan out the sleeping arrangements for our wedding party. Jodi took us around and showed us the cabins and the land, and she went as far as trying to help us figure out a way to carpool our guests around to the venue which blew us away with how willing she was to help us figure things out. She also made coffee for our bridal party in the morning and offered to let us have breakfast in the little restaurant area. Its such a beautiful spot, directly in front of the river and so peaceful. The cabins were really clean and had room for everyone. What I can say about Evergreens Campground is that if you stay there you will find immediate friends in the owners. We were so thankful to have this campground to stay at, it was the best accomodation in the Madison/Skowhegan area! We can’t wait to go back and visit again. Thank you Jodi and Jim for everything! We will never forget your unending kindness towards us. It made our special week even more unforgettable!

We have never stayed at a campground, more beautiful and more maintained. The host and hostess were amazing and offering help with where to eat what to see, etc. The only thing I can really say to summit it up is it is a 10++++ campground with beautiful rapids a wonderful sound and a haze over the river. Treat yourself!

A great place to go! The owners are very giving and kind. Just a great allaround place.

What a great place to stay! Check in was a little slow because we arrived late and the owner was busy in the kitchen. Clearly the owners work hard to make us all happy campers! The cottage was very clean and alot bigger than it looks in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to see a table and 2 chairs inside as well as on the covered porch. Which is where we spent most of our time. My husband and I talked too loud, laughed even louder and never had one complaint! Our dog even did what she thought was her job of barking at the neighbors! The river was beautiful and the fall color amazing! I just want to add that you may never know why someone would leave a bad review. I read them and had my reservations about this place. But our experience was just wonderful! Thank you to the owners for giving us this great place to stay! See you again next year for sure!
