River’s End Campground

This was our first stay, and we were very pleased.They do have tight spaces in some areas, and where we were, lot #31, so parking for the truck was across the road, which was not a problem, but just note some spots are tight. It is well shaded with two dog parks, pool, pavilion, laundry mat and a camp store.Very friendly staff! Beach was a bit longer walk than expected but overall very enjoyable. This was our 3rd stop at River’s End. We absolutely love it. We stopped on our way home from winter in the Keys. It is charming and was the perfect respite for the last leg of our trip. The location is within walking distance to North Beach where you can walk for miles. It’s an easy bike ride into town if you want to take in the fun along South Beach. This is our 2nd time camping here, and both times have been exceptional. From site, cleanliness, staff is friendly, and informative. Convenience….ccard on file takes care of any purchases made in the camp store while you are here. Wonderful Island, and locals are friendly (especially at the city’s dog park 7:00 a.m. Daily if you want to get the skinny on the area restaurants, bars, etc.) My husband and I love this community! Thank you.😉

Excellent location on North Beach for camping, we enjoyed everything about it. Full hookup, level sites. Friendly staff. Big pool. AC bathhouses. Lighthouse, beach and museum close by. With any campground there’s always positives and negatives. Now the positives with this place is that it is very picturesque , close to the beach, full hook ups, with options. Those parts are great. However the negatives. This campround layout is not very well thought out in my opinion and not big rig friendly to be honest. The turns and streets through are super tight and hard to maneuver. We witnessed someone’s vehicle get damaged by a rig pulling around a curve coming in and it was very unfortunate. The site we were in was a bit tight but we made it work. Now people were nice thats very true which is always a good thing. But it’s definitely more suited for smaller rigs with the space. We enjoyed our time on Tybee for sure but would book elsewhere just for our own safety and comfort. But with anything else in life you live and learn. Trip type Vacation Travel group Family

I stayed in a cabin, while my parents had a site for their RV. They allowed my parents to access the cabin before my arrival to make the bed, etc. The Cabin was great, location was great, service was great. The only issue I had is that it was cold and the mini-split system didn’t give out any heat. I notified the office, and they had portable heaters in my cabin warming it up when I returned from Savannah. Great restaurants near by (Crab Shack if you like shell fish), Bubba Gumbos, and plenty in Savannah. Will be back! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
