Campground description

Peter D’s RV Park in Sheridan offers a spacious, community-focused stay with full hookups (20/30/50 A), picnic tables, fire rings, and pull‑through pads. It includes laundry, showers, a general store, on-site dog runs (4 acres free-run + a 4 500 sq ft enclosed area), and a book exchange. Satellite reception is excellent. A dump station is free for registered campers. The park operates May 1–Oct 1 and welcomes tents, big rigs, and pets. Nearby Sheridan attractions include the Historic Sheridan Inn, Rib & Chop House, outdoor swimming, and hiking.

This is one of those places she hesitate to review.

This is one of those places she hesitate to review. Because you know you’re going to give it excellent ratings, but you don’t want everybody else to find it because then you won’t be able to get in next time you want to. We’ve stayed here a number of times. Peter is a character. He always has a fun story, joke, or helpful hint to tell you. Barb is a wonderful, efficient, friendly person. The cups are perfect, the amenities are plentiful, including laundry, room showers, and WHITE Rhodes,. The place is always clean and all taken care of.

We love this park

We love this park, it’s the second time we stayed here. It’s very clean and the spaces are roomy and have their own little grassy area. There’s a great doggy fenced in area where you can let your dog off leash. It surprisingly quiet, even tho how close it is to the freeway, which I really liked that. Internet access works great. Owners were really nice and accommodating.

Very well kept campground, easy on and off from interstate 90 yet completely accessible to Sheridan shops and restaurants. Our host was super friendly and helpful with check-in and local recommendations. Peter D’s is on our list of must return!!!

Full marks!

Full marks!! I’ll be back. The owner or manager (Pete?) is an older guy who is friendly, polite, and accommodating. My truck and 21 foot trailer were assigned a pull-thru slot. It was quiet, I had no immediate neighbors, and everything worked. This is a pet-friendly place with lots of happy dogs, a secure place for them to walk, but no barking and no dog poop in the common area. I was encouraged to use the bathrooms after being told that they’re spotless. I did, and they are.

Without a doubt, the nicest RV park in Sheridan, WY! Peter and his wife, Barbara are just about the nicest hosts to up could ever want. The campground itself is immaculately maintained and has many nice amenities, including very clean restrooms and shower facilities and a dog run area to name a few. We will absolutely return to Peter D’s if we’re in the area again!
