Elkhorn Campground (Elkhorn Creek RV Park) is a privately owned, family-oriented campground in Frankfort, Kentucky, nestled along picturesque Elkhorn Creek. Open seasonally from April through October, the park features 125 sites. 109 paved (mostly asphalt) and the rest gravel or grass with 61 full-hookup sites (50/30/20 amp electric, water, sewer, and cable) and ~26 spacious pull-through sites that accommodate rigs up to 80 ft. Concrete patios and decks enhance premium creekside sites, many newly upgraded. Amenities are abundant: a modern bathhouse with hot showers, free Wi‑Fi throughout, cable TV, a dump station, propane fill, a laundry facility, and an onsite store/snack bar. Recreational offerings cater to all ages: a swimming pool (Memorial–Labor Day), playground, mini-golf, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, a large pavilion with an arcade game room, and direct creek access for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Paw parents appreciate the fenced dog park and pet station. Good Sam, military, and first responder discounts apply; weekly and monthly stays are encouraged with corresponding discounts. No cabins are available, and a $15 permit is needed for coach/trailer washing.
