Liberty Harbor Marina & RV Park

We stayed here with a rooftop car tent. Great location without having to stay in the city. Walking distance to the PATH for easy NYC access. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Staff was great- polite and helpful. We had to pay the RV price (since campsites are tent only), but STILL is very reasonable compared to price of area hotels. Highly recommended.

Liberty Harbor Marina is unique. It is located about a block from a free that takes you to downtown York citi in a few minutes of a nice ride across Hudson. The the campground is also located few minutes from a light rail train that takes you to connection underneath the Hudson river if you prefer to stay on land. The park itself is a series of pave roads and gravel parking spots that are unremarkable except they are flat and have water and electricity, but no sewer If you’re looking for luxury and trees with a nice swimming pool, this isn’t it but if you’re looking for a life, remembering experience in downtown New York with a simple and an expensive commute at the beginning and end of your visit this place is a dream come true From large number of diverse restaurants, in a seemingly safe location in Jersey City. If you look out your window, you can see the lights from the World Trade Center, if you walk a few blocks, you can see the Statue of Liberty, and if you want to go around the Statue of Liberty, there’s a nice furry that will take you there In the summer they run jet ski tours around the Statue of Liberty almost at your doorstep. Place is terrific change of pace. It does require a few blocks of driving through downtown traffic in a relatively uncrowded area that permits of larger rigs. As with everything in New York, highway directions are very confusing to us and we had a couple of times we weren’t quite sure where we were but they didn’t cause any difficulty. Stations are located on the ground conveniently and are really no problems to reach and are no extra cost. The places unique, it is expensive, but it is literally in the center of a financial and world trade districts with just a short furry boat right away your trip is not complete without a taste of New York street food

Very convenient to Manhattan and Liberty Park. The staff here, office and security are great. They were very helpful, even with adding an extra night without moving sites. Being in the ‘middle’ of a huge city like Jersey City we were concerned about security but the grounds are patrolled by security and they control who comes into the park as well as the adjoining parking lot. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Liberty Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer. Not the parks problem but our Verizon signal was almost non existent. We could text but using the internet was a no go. Searching Verizon forums we saw this has been an issue for a long time. Again nothing to ding Liberty Harbor for, just be aware if you have Verizon and need internet.

You cannot beat the location! The area in Jersey City is wonderful and safe with lots of cute restaurants. The subway is a short walk and takes you into NYC quickly. The staff at check-in was friendly as well as the security for the rv park/marina. I used the showers a couple times and they were clean with nice hot water. I think it is important you have realistic expectations when coming here. This is not a traditional campground with lots of grass, a playground, etc. This is a place to park to be close to the city/attractions. It definitely exceeded my expectations and we had a great time!

Liberty Harbor RV Park exceeded my expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The facilities were spotless and well-maintained, which made my stay even more enjoyable. One of the best parts is the park’s convenient location – it’s super close to public transportation that takes you right into New York City. If you’re looking for a great place to stay with easy city access, I highly recommend Liberty Harbor RV Park!

Large spots, close to NYC. I learn something about this part of Jersey City. It is safe at night, VERY QUIET, I felt like I was camping out on a farm. Great vegan food nearby. Nice people all out socializing and enjoying the days. We will be back. Very easy to get my 40 footer n 4 passenger Jeep Rubicon TOAD in and out of the city.
