Askew’s Landing RV Campground, nestled lakeside between Jackson and Vicksburg with easy access off I-20, offers a serene and family-oriented destination. Under new ownership since June 2023, the campground blends thoughtful improvements with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Guests can choose from full-hookup RV sites (20/30/50 amp), shaded tent sites, or rustic cabins. The site amenities include water, sewer, picnic tables, fire rings, pull-throughs, trash service, handicap access, and big-rig accommodations. Campground-wide facilities include a sparkling swimming pool, clean laundry and shower facilities, a camp store, a well-stocked general store, and a dump station. Outdoor lovers will enjoy a children’s playground, dog parks, lawn games, a pavilion rental, and a paddleboat/kayak-friendly fishing lake. Regular social events such as family reunions and team-building gatherings keep the atmosphere vibrant. Free Wi-Fi reaches much of the grounds, and accessibility is a priority. It is a wonderful cabin

We stayed at the cabin from June 30-July 3rd. We have stayed there two times before. It is a wonderful cabin. It’s so spacious and nice. It’s so peaceful and you can swim, go fishing and on holidays and special events they have great activities. We will definitely be there again!!!! Also Sandy is awesome!! She is always so nice and attentive to your needs. This is an amazing place!!!!

We decided to spend Memorial Day weekend here

We decided to spend Memorial Day weekend here and it was so perfect. As a person that hates camping this was as good as it gets. We had a perfect shaded spot steps away from the water. There are definitely some monsters in here as one took our pole (literally). The pool, convenient store, horse hotel you can see from the campsite, bathhouse, and grounds were all in great shape when we got here. I will definitely come back again when it isn’t raining!

We stayed one night on our way to FL

We stayed one night on our way to FL and was greeted warmly by (Jason, I think!?). It had been raining quite a bit and when he noticed our big rig (41’ 5th wheel) he offered to change our site since there was some mud. We really appreciated that! Definitely a beautiful place with gorgeous tall pine trees and a pond/lake to sit by and take it all in. 😍🤩 We’re staying again on our way back home!

The personnel were wonderful!

We booked here for a weekend trip. The personnel were wonderful! Very helpful and courteous. I had a little difficulty with my camper and they gave me support quickly. The campground is lovely and very clean. A great spot to get away!!

A campsite to feel good, it has clean, very well laid out pitches with electricity, fresh water and waste water. The shower and toilet facilities are new and very clean. I can highly recommend this site, we will be very happy to come back when we are in the area again. We didn’t book anything and received a very warm welcome from our hosts. 5 stars plus. Thank you for letting us stay here. We are traveling with a tent and our motorcycles. By the way, there are many amenities: boat rental, gem washing, fishing, kayaking, gulf war and much more. There should be more places as nice as this one. Thanks again!!!

Hidden Gem is the perfect description for this place

Hidden Gem is the perfect description for this place. We found Askew’s Landing through Harvest Hosts for an overnight place to stay in our airstream. This is THE CUTEST PLACE. Somewhat reminds you of summer camp. They have paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, a pool, and very family friendly. They also have tent camping spots, a few cabins, and a few glamping tents. The staff was very welcoming and gave us an escort to our parking spot. You have the option to utilize FHU or not for a reasonable fee. Snow cones, ice cream, and root beer floats were for sale until 6:00. There is an adorable general store that has a variety of things from fishing bait to snacks to supplies. There is excellent signage to the place so you don’t miss where to turn. It is a little bit off the beaten path but it was quiet, well maintained, and needed minimal leveling for us. Needless to say, the small detour will not deter us from staying here again. Next time we’ll stay longer and bring a fishing pole.
