Campground description

Burlingame State Park and Campground in Charlestown spans over 3,100 acres around Watchaug Pond. It features 713 campsites – including RV sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric) and tent sites – as well as 20 rustic cabins and a shelter. Campsites sit on mixed grass and gravel pads and include picnic tables, fire rings, and pull-through options suitable for big rigs. A dump station is part of the campsite infrastructure. Both campers and day visitors enjoy a freshwater beach with swimming and canoe/kayak rentals, a boat ramp, and miles of wooded trails connected to the Kimball Wildlife Sanctuary. The campground offers hot showers, laundry facilities, a camp store with propane, firewood, recycling, and restroom services. Paid Wi‑Fi is likely available near the camp store. Family amenities include a children’s playground. Seasonal operations typically mirror RI park schedules.
